Question 180817
(3/x) + 8 = 2
3/x = -6 you know how to get there right
NOW DO YOU KNOW EVERY SINGLE NUMBER HAVE A 1 IN THE BOTTOM so Example: 1 is equal to 1/1=1 and 3 is equal to 3/1=3 SO 6 = 6/1 = 6
3/x = -6/1 do cross multification you will get -6x = 3 then divide by -6 both side so x = -3/6 = -1/2 or -0.5

SEE A CLEAR VIEW

3/x + 8 = 2
    - 8  -8
-----------
3/x = -6  SAME AS 3/x = -6/1  now CROSS MULTIFICATION top * bottom and bottom *top
             3/x = -6/1
so therfore x*-6 = 3*1
            -6x  = 3           now divide by -6 both side
          -6x/-6 = 3/-6
              x  = -3/6        now simplify -3/6 by dividing by 3
              x  = -1/2  OR -0.05
