Question 180463
lol.....ok, my friend I can see where you might be lost.  This is what they are after: take the expression:{{{ (16x^5+8x^4+24x^3)}}} and divide that by {{{4x^3}}}. Now the result of that, which is called the quotient, they want you to multiply by {{{x^2+7x-2}}}}
:
so first off lets find that quotient:
:
<img src="http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a176/jabberstox/MSP-10.gif">
:
so {{{4x^2+2x+6}}}is what we need to multiply with {{{x^2+7x-2}}}
:
{{{(4x^2+2x+6)(x^2+7x-2)}}}
:
{{{4x^4+28x^3-8x^2+2x^3+14x^2-4x+6x^2+42x-12}}}
:
now combine like terms
:
{{{4x^4+30x^3+12x^2+38x-12}}}
