And I think you want to simplify the expression, although you didn't say so.


Factor the numerator:

Then eliminate like factors in the numerator and denominator:


*[tex \huge \frac {t + 3}{1} = t + 3]


If and only if *[tex \huge t \neq -1] because that value for t would make the original expression undefined.
