Question 177078
How do I graph the inequality x + 3y < 6
----------------
You NEVER graph an inequality directly.
You first must graph the corresponding EQUALITY, which
is the boundary of the inequality.
-----------------------------------------
Graph y = (-1/3)x + 2
-------
{{{graph(400,300,-10,10,-10,10,(-1/3)x+2)}}}
-------
Since your inequality is y < (-1/3)x +2, you shade the
half-plane BELOW the boundary line.
---------------------
That shaded area is the graph of the inequality.
