When you add polynomials, you just combine like terms.


When you subtract polynomials, multiply through the second polynomial by -1, and then add. Then click on Chapter 1 and look for Combining Like Terms and Distributive Property."  I already thought I had this as a Lesson Plan in Algebra.com, but I don't think I did this one yet.
