Question 24106
Are you factoring this?

If so, take out the common factor of 2x first:

{{{54x^4-2x}}}
{{{2x(27x^3-1)}}}

This is a difference of cubes, which factors by a formula into a product of a binomail times a trinomial.

{{{2x(3x-1)(9x^2 + 32 + 1)}}}

If you have trouble with this factoring, then see my website by going to my tutor name "rapaljer" anywhere in algebra.com, and look for Math in Living Color. Look then for a topic called Factoring that will be listed under Intermediate Algebra. See if that helps.
