Question 23965
y + 3=8
3=a + 7
6=x-4
7b=35
25=5y
10x=110
I think the first 2 problems you wrote wrong. I hope I wasright in my assumption.
If so, here is how you solve them;
In each ofthe problems the object is to get the variable by itself "x,y, and a";
y+3=8
subtract 3 from both sides;
1)y+3-3=8-3
y=5
2)3=a+7
subtract 7 from both sides;
3-7=a+7-7
-4=a
3)6=x-4
add 4 to both sides;
6+4=x-4+4
10=x
4)7b=35
divide each side by 7;
{{{7b/7}}}={{{35/7}}}
b=5
5)25=5y
divide each side by 5;
{{{25/5}}}={{{5y/5}}}
5=y
6)10x=110
divide each side by 10;
{{{10x/10}}}={{{110/10}}}
x=11
Hope you understand. If not let me know
=)
