Question 171516
I'll give you the rules and you can apply them yourself:

Rule 1: Multiplication of like variables

{{{(x^m)(x^n)=x^(m+n)}}}

This one makes sense if you consider {{{x*x=(x^1)(x^1)=x^(1+1)=x^2}}}

Rule 2: Division of like variables

{{{(x^m)/(x^n)=x^(m-n)}}}

Rule 3: The sum of the logs is the log of the product

{{{log(b,(x[1]))+log(b,(x[2]))=log(b,(x[1]x[2]))}}}

Rule 4: The difference of the logs is the log of the quotient

{{{log(b,(x[1]))-log(b,(x[2]))=log(b,(x[1]/x[2]))}}}
