what is the area of a field with four sides of 115x83x86x74m ? am trying to use formula for area 0f two triangles with same side shared but maths beyond me.

This has no solution.  If you view this as a four-sided figure with the specified side lengths and hinges at each vertex, you can see that the area can vary as the sides are moved.
If one angle is given, or if at least 3 of the vertices are given as (x,y) coordinates, the area can be determined, but not otherwise.
