Question 169282
Please assist me in finding the solution to this problem... I've tried I am not sure if I am doing it correctly. Thanks
a^(2/5)b^(1/3)
--------------
It's not a problem to be solved, just an expression.
It can be "simplified", tho that's sometimes a matter of opinion as to what is simpler.
-------------
a^(2/5)b^(1/3)
Get the a and b terms to the same exponent: 1/5 x 1/3 = 1/15
a^(2/5)b^(1/3)
={{{(a^6)^(1/15)*(b^5)^(1/15)}}} See that?
={{{(a^6b^5)^(1/15)}}}
It's simplified in the sense that there's only one fractional exponent, or root.
