Question 165374
2 slacks
3 blouses
2 sweaters
you can do this one of two (maybe even 3 or more) ways.
first you can assign each clothing item a letter and make a table to see how many matches you can come up with.
Let brown pair slacks = bs
gray pair of slacks = gs
brown blouse = bb
yellow blouse =yb
white blouse =wb
blue sweater = sw
white sweater =ws
bs bb sw=1
bs bb ws=2
.
bs yb sw=3
bs yb ws=4
.
bs wb sw=5
bs wb ws=6
.
gs bb sw=7
gs bb ws=8
.
gs yb sw=9
gs yb ws=10
.
gs wb sw=11
gs wb ws=12
The second method is two multiply the number of possibilities in each category together. there are two possibilities of slacks, 3 possibilities of blouses, and 2 possibilities of pants
so:
{{{2*3*2=12}}}
