Question 165225
Hi, Hope I can help
.
I need help with this problem.
It is Solve for C: S= C + RC
Thank you for your help.
.
{{{ S= C + RC }}}
.
To solve for "C" we have to isolate, or get "C" by itself
.
We will rearrange,
.
{{{ S= C + RC }}} = {{{ S=   RC + C }}}
.
We can factor the "C" out of the right side
.
{{{ S=   RC + C }}} = {{{ S=   C(R + 1) }}}
.
Now that we have only one "C" we can get "C" by itself
.
We will divide everything by (R+1)
.
{{{ S=   C(R + 1) }}} = {{{ S/(R+1)=   (C(R + 1))/(R+1) }}} = {{{ S/(R+1)=   ((C) highlight(R + 1))/highlight(R+1) }}} = {{{ S/(R+1)=   ((C) cross(R + 1))/cross(R+1) }}} = {{{ S/(R+1)=   C }}}, {{{ C= S/(R+1) }}}
.
{{{ C= S/(R+1) }}}
.
Hope I helped, Levi
