Question 23334
Here is the graph for {{{y= 1/(x-1)}}}.

{{{graph (400,400, -10,10,-10,10, 1/(x-1) )}}}

Notice that there is an asymptote at x = 1, since it makes the denominator equal to zero, and therefore the function is undefined at this point. The graph should indicate a DOTTED line at x = 1. You'll have to make that adjustment to what is graphed on algebra.com and on graphing calculators.
