Question 159780
</pre><font size=4><b>
Let "x" as number sessions to use media center.
RATE 1:
($5.00/ses) (x)
RATE 2:
($25)+($3.00)(x)
If you equate the 2 RATES, you'll find out how many sessions will justify if you pay one time fee of $25.00
.
RATE 1 = RATE 2
{{{5x=25+3x}}}
{{{5x-3x=25}}}
{{{2x=25}}} ---> {{{cross(2)x/cross(2)=cross(25)12.5/cross(2)}}}
{{{x=12.5ses}}} See this, it's 12.5 sessions you take. Why there's 0.5?
If 1 session takes 1 hour, then total sessions= 12 hours & 30 minutes. (0.50=1/2 of 1 hour)
Let's see.
RATE 1:= {{{5*12.5=62.50}}}
RATE 2:= {{{25+3*12.5=25+37.50=62.50}}}
You see, either RATE is okay if you go 12.5 sessions. But if you go over this, paying memberhsip is a better choice - RATE 2. Try 15 sessions to the eqn? You'll see.
Thank you,
