Question 158067
- 3/(x + 10) = (x - 10)/25

I just got back home from work.

You can cross-multiply or find the LCD to find x.

If we cross-multiply, this is what it looks like:

-3 times 25 = (x + 10)(x - 10)

-75 = x^2 - 100

Add 100 to both sides.

-75 + 100 = x^2

25 = x^2

Take the square root of both sides.

5 = x

Did you follow?
