Question 156497
I think they are giving you two points on a line and they are asking you to find the slope.

.
Two points are:
(8,8) and (-7,-4)
.
The generalized form of a slope given two points is:
m = (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)
where
m is the slope
.
If
(x1,y1) = (8,8)
and
(x2,y2) = (-7,-4)
.
then:
m = (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)
m = (8-(-4))/(8-(-7))
m = (8+4)/(8+7)
m = 12/15
m = 4/5 (this is the slope)
