Question 22923
{{{(a + b+c)^2}}}

I'd never thought of it before, but I suppose you could square each of the terms, then take twice the product of each combination of terms.

{{{a^2 + b^2+c^2 + 2ab + 2ac + 2bc}}}

I guess that would do it, right?

Try it out:
{{{ (x^2 -3x +5)^2= (x^2)^2 + (-3x)^2 + 5^2 + 2(x^2*(-3x)) + 2(x^2*5) + 2(-3x)*5}}}

= {{{x^4 + 9x^2 + 25 -6x^3+ 10x^2 -30x}}}
= {{{x^4 - 6x^3 + 19x^2 -30x + 25}}}

I don't know! It probably is easier (and safer!) to just multiply it out the regular way. Maybe that's why I never heard of this "shortcut"!!
