Question 149795
This site explains it all:

.
If you have:
y = 9/7x + 5
.
This is in the "slope-intercept" form of
y = mx + b
where
m is the slope (rise/run)
b is the y-intercept at (0, b)
.
So, for your problem:
y = 9/7x + 5
.
m (slope) is 9/7
rise is 9 and
run is 7
.
y-intercept is at (0, 5)
.
To graph:
1. place a dot at (0, 5)
2. Starting at the "dot" above, go up/down the "rise". In this case, since the rise is +9, go UP 9 units
3. From step 2 go right/left the "run". In this case, since the run is +5, go to the LEFT 5 units -- place your second dot here.
4. Finally draw a straight line through the two dots and now you're done!
