Question 148589
It doesn't matter if you simplify it first or make everything positive first. But I like to make it all positive first. It looks better. And less confusing. So let's do that:

Start with:
{{{((w^-1)(t^-3)(s))/((w^-2)(s^4)(t^3))}}}

Move all the variables with negative exponents to the other side to make them postive (and combine the t's while you're at it):

{{{((w^2)(s))/((w^1)(t^6)(s^4))}}}

Now simplify it by dividing. It's much easier when everything is positive first:

{{{w/(t^6)(s^3)}}}
