Question 148178
A cylindrical water tank holds 1000 L of water. Determine it's diameter if it's 1.5 m tall.
----------
The volume of a cylinder is {{{V = PI*r^2*h}}}
1000 liters = 1 cubic meter (you have to know that)
-------------------
So {{{PI*r^2*1.5 = 1}}}
{{{r^2 = 1/(1.5*PI)}}}
{{{r = sqrt(1/(1.5*PI))}}}
r = 0.46066 meters
r = 460.66 millimeters
------------------
PS it's = it is. Determine its diameter, not it's.
