Question 144450
Since both of your rational expressions have the same denominator, you can just expand (that is, apply the distributive property to) the numerators and collect like terms. Once you have done that, factor a 2 out of the result in the numerator. Then factor your denominator, which is the difference of two squares. You will find that you then have a common factor in both numerator and denominator that you can eliminate.
