Question 143949
x/x2nd power - 16 divided by x3power/x2nd power - 14x + 40
------------
x/(x^2-16)/x^3/(x^2-14x+40)

Factor where you can; then invert the denominator so you can multiply:

= [x/[(x-4)(x+4)]]*[(x-10)(x-4)/x^3]

Cancel factors common to a numerator and a denominator: (x-4), x

= [1/(x+4)]*[(x-10)/x^2]

= (x-10)/[x^2(x+4)]
