Question 140928
Q. A kite has two angles of 70 degrees. The largest of the other angles is four times the size of the smallest angle. Calculate the angles of this kite.
-------------------------
If the kite has four sides it is a quadrilateral.
The sum of its interior angles is 360 degrees.
If two of the angles are 70 degrees that leaves 220 degrees for the remaining
two angles.
1st angle = x
2nd angle = 4x
------------------
EQUATION:
x + 4x = 220
5x = 220
x = 44 degrees (1st angle size)
4x= 176 degrees (2nd angle size)
