Question 139376
Rational exponents work the exact same way. In other words, the same two laws of exponents work the same way if m and n are rational rather than integers. In fact, the same laws of exponents apply if m and n are any real numbers, rational or irrational.

To provide examples, pick numbers for a, b, m, and n and then illustrate each principle. Remember that {{{a^(m/n)=root(n,a^m)}}} when you are illustrating rational exponents.
