Question 137700

Hi,

Consider any point lying on the line y = 6x

Let the point be (1,6)

The given line passes through the origin

So the horizontal distance is 1 and the vertical distance from the origin is 6

==> the hypotenuse = sqrt(1^2 + 6^2)
                    = sqrt(1+36)
                    = sqrt(37)

Thus sinA = opp/hyp
          = 6/sqrt(37)

SinA = {{{(6)/sqrt(37)}}}
