You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A and B can do a peice of work in 8 days whih A alone can take 12 days, how many days will B work alone?
--------------
Use part of the job per day:
A does the job in 12 days --> 1/12 job per day.
B does 1/B job per day.
---
1/12 + 1/B = 1/8 job/day
1/B = 1/8 - 1/12 = 1/24
B takes 24 days

.
1%2F8 - 1%2F12 = 3%2F24 - 2%2F24 = 1%2F24.

Answer.  In 24 days.

1%2F8  is the rate of work for  A+B  working together.

1%2F12  is the rate of work for  A  working alone.

The difference is the rate of work for  B  working alone.
