Substitute in and get
2L + 2(88) = 374
2L + 176 = 374
2L = 198
L = 99 feet

2(88)+ 2L= 374
176 + 2L= 374 Subtract 176 on both sides:
2L= 198 Divide both sides by 2:
L= 99
Proof:
2W+2L= Perimeter
