Question 998488: Two forces have magnitudes of 38 N and 29 N and the angle between them is 156°. Find the magnitude of the resultant and the angle it makes with the larger of the two forces (1dp)
resultant force =
angle =
This is what I had, but it was not correct:
Angle = 180 - 156 = 24°
RF = sqrt [38²+29²- 2*38*29*cos24] = 16.5 N
Θ = arcsin[29/RF]*sin24° = 45.7°
However, both my answers are not correct
THANK YOU

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
RF = sqrt%2838%5E2+%2B+29%5E2+%2B+2%2A38%2A29%2Acos%2824%5Eo%29%29 = 16.5 N.

It is correct answer.
