Question 998083: ne evening, Kathleen devoted of her study time to mathematics, of her time to Spanish, of her time to biology, and the remaining 35 minutes to English. How much time, in minutes, did she spend studying Spanish? Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
Find a common denominator for the three given fractions and add them. Subtract the sum of your fractions from 1. The result will be the fraction of the total time she spent on English. Knowing the time spent English and the fraction of the total time spent studying that was spent on English allows you to calculate the total time spent studying. Then the time spent on Spanish is of that total time.
