You can put this solution on YOUR website! The point Q is twice as far from (-2,-8) as it is from (13,5). If it lies on the segment joining the two, what are the coordinates of Q?
---------
A(-2,-8) to B(13,5).
Find the x & y coordinates separately.
x distance = 13+2 = 15
(2/3)*15 = 10
-2 + 10 = 8
===============
y distance 5 + 8 = 13
--> (2/3)*13 = 26/3
-8 + 26/3 = 2/3
---
--> Q(8,2/3)
