The Median is the range of values. Put each dataset in ascending order (already done) then find the middle number.
Calculate the Mean by adding the values then divide by how many numbers are in each set.
For example,
a.) 2,4,6,7,8 is already in order so the middle number or median is 6. To find the mean:
2+4+6+7+8 = 27 --> 27/5 = 5.4
We see that the mean does not equal the median.
