4*x-10+2*x=230
4*x+2*x=230+10
6*x=240
x = 40
we can check by inserting into 2%2A%282%2Ax-5%29%2B2%2Ax+=+230
2*(2*40-5)+2*40
160-10+80 = 150+80 = 230 wow, it agrees!(I didn't expect that....)
