The -coordinate of the vertex of a linear absolute value function is the value of that makes the expression inside of the absolute value bars equal to zero. The -coordinate of such a function is the value of the constant term.

Hint: For your first problem you might want to re-write it as so that it is clear what the value of the constant term is.
