Question 995291: Hello. I need your help. I am trying to simplity this problem by rationalizing the denominator with my answer in a+bi form but I am not having good luck. Could you help me?
The problem is: 4+7i/7-2i. If I multiply the numerator and the denominator by the conjugate of the denominator(7+2i) I get 28+14i/7-2i. I don't know where to go from here. I tried to look in the book but it doesn't detail this specific problem, so I come to ask you for help. Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The problem is: 4+7i/7-2i. If I multiply the numerator and the denominator by the conjugate of the denominator(7+2i) I get 28+14i/7-2i.
------------------
For the DEN:
(7-2i)*(7+2i) = 49 - 4i^2 = 53

Try the NUM again.
