(b) the average speed of the car in km/h
Answer by Gogonati(855) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The time that Peter needs to travel from A to B is 112 km/64 km/h=7/4 h.
The time that Mike needs to travel from A to B is 112 km/56 km/h=2h
Peter reaches at B 2-7/4=1/4 h before Mike.
Since Mike travel at the average speed of 56 km/h he will be behind Peter 56km/h*1/4 h= 14 km.
