A car leaves Centralia for Chicago  at the same time a passenger train leaves Chicago for Centralia. The freight train travels at a speed of 45 mi/hr, and the passenger train travels at a speed of 64 mi/hr. If Chicago and Centralia are 218 mi apart, how long will it take for the trains to meet?

You can  put this solution on YOUR website! You are looking for the sum of the distances traveled is equal to 218 mile distance between the two cities.  RT=D relates speed, time, and distance.
