Question 99219: We are trying to figure out an answer to an open sentence. We are wondering (my friend and I), how to solve something like this.. we have a guide, and lessons to do so.. but they just aren't making too much sense. Here it is:
M= {x : 35 - x = 15 + x}

You can put this solution on YOUR website! supposing equation  (we multiply both sides by 35 and get)
with equations like this main theme is you can do almost whatever you want with them, bit you have to do it with both sides so equality can be sustained, so you can add,subtract,multiply, (punching both sides of equation maybe will not change equality, but I am still not sure whether it leads to solution :-)
x-35x=525+35x
x-35x-35x=525 (subtract 35x from both sides)
-69x=525 (multiply by -1)
69x = -525
x = -525/69
x = -175/23 which is around -7.6086956521739130434782 :-) with 6086956521739130434782 repeating over and over to infinity, unlike pi, where such pattern (according to today's belives) cannot be found
