Hi dear,
Let a be martin's age.
In 21yrs time,
Martin's age=(a+21)yrs
3yrs ago,he was (a-3)yrs
But he will be 7times as old as he was 3yrs ago,
Then
a+21=7(a-3)
This is the equation of his age now.
Solving the above equation,
a+21=7a-21
7a-a=21+21
6a=42
a=6yrs
His age now is 6yrs
HOPE THIS HELPS?
