i'm not sure where you started from.
i'm assuming the following:
the original statement is:
if a < 10 then a < 15 which is true.
the converse statement would then be:
if a < 15, then a < 10.
the converse statement, in this case, would then be false as you stated.
a counter example is also as you stated because a = 12 is less than 15 but not less than 10.
i think i agree.
