Standard form is Ax + By = C.

To put your equation in standard form:

First move 3x to the left-side of the equation, y = 3x - 8 ---> -3x + y = - 8

Then multiply by (-1) to obtain, 3x - y = 8 where A = 3, B = -1 and C = 8.
