Question 988700: With the vertices of a quadrilateral being (-5,3), (2,2), (4,-3), and (-2,-2), how would I use slope in order to find if it's a parallelogram?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Parallel lines have equal slopes. If the two of the opposite sides of your quadrilateral have equal slopes, you, at least, have a trapezoid. If the other two sides also have equal slopes, you have a parallelogram. If none of the pairs of slopes are equal, then you just have a general quadrilateral.
