You can put this solution on YOUR website!

-2=X+14
X+14 = -2
X = -2-14
X = -16

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To solve for x you need to isolate it on one side of the equal sign
in this problem we can do that by subtracting 14 from both sides of the equation
-2 = x + 14
-2 - 14 = x + 14 -14
The -2 and the -14 combine to make - 16
and on the other side + 14 and - 14 combine to make zero
so the answer is
-16 = x
