You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How do I get rid of fractions to solve this equation?
(1/4x) + 2(1/2x-2) = 2
-------
(1/4x) + 2(1/(2(x-1)) = 2
-----
(1/4x) + (1/(x-1) = 2
---------
Multiply thru by 4x(x-1) to get:
x-1 + 4x = 2*4x*(x-1)
5x-1 = 8x^2 - 8x
-------
8x^2 - 13x + 1 = 0
-------
x = 1.54 or x = 0.08
