3/36=y/6
36*y=36y
3*6=18
18/36=1/2
So when x=36, y=1/2.

y varies inversely as x or y = k/x
k = xy where k is a proportionality
constant
when x= 6 y =3 k = 6.3 = 18

when x = 36 y = k/36 = 18/36 = 1/2
