Question 98640: Here is my word problem..
Train A leaves Pittsburgh towards Philadelphia at 45 mph. At the same time, on a track running alongside the track on which train A is running, train B leaves Philadelphia towards Pittsburgh at 48 mph. Considering that the distance between the two cities is 257 miles, how long will it take for the two trains to pass alongside one another.
The only work i could come up with for the problem so far was,
