This will be a right triangle.
In two hours one is 240 mi. north, the other 180 mi. west.
These are legs of a right triangle whose hypotenuse is the distance between them.
divide both those by 60, and you have legs of 4 and 3. The hypotenuse will be 5, and multiplying that by 60, you have 300 miles apart.
