You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Make x the subject of the formula:
(a+x)/(a-x) = (b-y)/(b+y)
%28a%2Bx%29%2F%28a-x%29+=+%28b-y%29%2F%28b%2By%29

%28a%2Bx%29%28b%2By%29+=+%28b-y%29%28a-x%29

We will keep alphabetical order when multiplying
two letters.

ab%2Bay%2Bbx%2Bxy+=+ab-bx-ay%2Bxy

Subtract ab and xy from both sides:

ay%2Bbx+=+-bx-ay

2bx=-2ay

x=%28-2ay%29%2F%282b%29

x=-ay%2Fb
