Question 98522: Determine whether the relation represents a function. If it is a function, state the domain and range.
{(-3, 6), (2, 3), (3, -5), (8, -2)}
a. function
domain: {-3, 2, 3, 8}
range: {6, 3, -5, -2}
b. function
domain: {6, 3, -5, -2}
range: {-3, 2, 3, 8}

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
It is a function since every output only has one corresponding input

To find the domain, simply look at the set of x values (or input values)

So the domain is {-3, 2, 3, 8}

To find the range, simply look at the set of y values (or output values)

So the range is {6, 3, -5, -2}

So the answer is A)
