Question 985108: A chemist has 500ml of water. How much pure acid should be added to produce a solution that is 20% acid?
Hi! My names Elijah I attend a
High school in Virginia. I am currently taking Algebra 2/Trig my sohpomore year and well 3 days in and I'm struggling. With my algebra one teacher well lets say she didn't teach very well and all my high school math teachers know this. Due to this problem it makes it very hard for the algebra 2 and geometry teachers to finish a lesson with algebra 1 in it. I really don't want to drop the class and these word problems are already getting me in more trouble. I could really use the help. Thanks.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
One could form an equation and solve it for you, but based on the description about your situation you gave, you really need to know most basic algebra from the Algebra 1 course which you say was not taught very well.

MAYBE this lesson could help:
