Question 984872: Now suppose a camera has a lens with focal length F = 65.
1.Explain what happens to the focusing distance y as the object moves far away from the lens.
2.Explain what happens to the focusing distance y as the object moves closer and closer to the lens.
3.In general, why can rational function cross a horizontal asymptote and why can it not cross a vertical asymptote?

A vertical asymptote occurs where the function is undefined. If the function crossed the vertical asymptote, the function would have to be defined for the x-coordinate of a point on the asymptote line. A horizontal asymptote is only concerned with end behavior; there is no requirement for the function to not have the value of the y-coordinate of a point on the asymptote.
